A high-contrast serif with crisp, tapered hairlines and weighty main stems, producing a bright, polished texture. Serifs are bracketed and sharp, with wedge-like terminals and pointed joins that give the shapes a cut, engraved feel. Capitals are stately and wide-set with generous interior counters; curves (C, G, O, Q) are smooth and controlled, and diagonals (V, W, X) resolve into fine, pointed terminals. The lowercase shows traditional proportions with a two-storey a, compact bowls, and lively stroke modulation; ascenders are prominent and punctuation-like dots appear round and sturdy against the thin connecting strokes. Numerals match the letterforms’ contrast and carry strong vertical stress, with open counters and clean, slightly flared terminals.

Well-suited for editorial design, long-form reading contexts, and book or magazine typography where a refined serif voice is desired. It also performs confidently in display applications—headlines, pull quotes, and formal announcements—where its contrast and crisp detailing can be appreciated.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with an elegant, editorial presence reminiscent of book typography and high-end print. Its sharp contrast and sculpted terminals add a touch of drama, making it feel formal and cultivated rather than casual or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, literary serif palette with heightened elegance through strong contrast and sharply finished terminals. It prioritizes a composed, classic reading texture while retaining enough sparkle and refinement to carry display roles.

In text, the strong thick–thin rhythm creates a pronounced vertical cadence and clear word shapes, while the fine hairlines and pointed terminals contribute to a delicate, premium look at larger sizes. Spacing appears measured and even, supporting a calm, composed reading flow.
