A crisp serif with noticeable contrast and a predominantly vertical axis, pairing slender hairlines with firmer main strokes. Serifs are compact and bracketed, and many terminals finish in small wedges or pointed, slightly flared endings that add snap without becoming slab-like. Uppercase forms are stately and controlled, with rounded letters staying relatively tight and vertical, while the lowercase keeps a straightforward rhythm and moderate spacing. Numerals follow the same disciplined, sharp-edged construction, reading cleanly alongside the text.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book pages where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve in headlines, pull quotes, and brand wordmarks that benefit from a formal, cultivated tone and crisp detail.

The overall tone feels traditional and editorial, projecting seriousness and clarity. Its sharp, tapered details and structured proportions lend an air of authority, suitable for settings that want to feel established rather than casual.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional serif model with sharpened, subtly flared terminals and controlled proportions, balancing readability with a polished, authoritative presence.

In text, the contrast and fine terminals create a lively sparkle, especially in mixed-case passages. The narrowish proportions and tidy serifs help maintain a compact line while preserving clear letter differentiation.
