A sharply modeled serif italic with pronounced thick–thin contrast and tapered, calligraphic stroke endings. Serifs appear bracketed and pointed, with a consistent rightward slant and lively, slightly compressed rhythm that keeps counters open despite the weight. Capitals are wide and assertive with crisp terminals and a strong diagonal emphasis, while lowercase forms show energetic curves, a single‑storey italic ‘a’, and a descending ‘g’ that reads cleanly at text sizes. Numerals follow the same italic stress, mixing straight cuts with rounded bowls for a cohesive, print-oriented texture.

Best suited to editorial applications where a strong italic voice is needed—magazine headlines, book and chapter titles, pull quotes, and prominent emphasis in long-form typography. It can also work for formal branding or invitations when a classic, high-contrast serif italic is desired.

The overall tone is refined and traditional, with a confident, high-contrast drama typical of literary and editorial typography. It feels polished and authoritative, projecting a sense of craft and formality rather than casual friendliness.

The design appears intended to provide a powerful, traditional serif italic with enough weight and contrast to hold attention in display and editorial settings, while maintaining the familiar proportions and readability expected of conventional text serifs.

In continuous text the slanted, high-contrast forms create a pronounced forward motion and a dark, luxurious color, especially in bold italic settings. The ‘Q’ tail and ‘R’ leg add distinctive, classical flair, and the punctuation and dot forms appear sturdy and clear against the heavy strokes.
