A high-contrast serif with crisp hairlines and fuller vertical stems, using bracketed wedge-like serifs and gently flared terminals. Curves are smooth and disciplined, with a slightly calligraphic modulation that shows up in letters like C, S, and the bowls of B and P. Proportions feel balanced and traditionally text-oriented, with moderate ascenders/descenders and compact, confident capitals. The lowercase includes a two-storey a and g, and the numerals appear oldstyle with noticeable ascenders/descenders for a more bookish rhythm in running text.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and long-form reading where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for formal collateral—such as invitations, programs, and certificates—especially when set with generous leading and careful contrast-aware sizing.

The overall tone is classic and refined, suggesting traditional publishing and considered, authoritative typography. Its sharp contrast and tidy finishing give it an elegant, slightly formal voice without becoming overly ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances classical proportions with clean, contemporary precision. It aims to deliver an authoritative page color and a familiar literary feel while retaining enough sharpness for display-sized headlines and pull quotes.

In the sample text, the strong vertical stress and fine joins create a lively texture at larger sizes, while the delicate hairlines and small interior apertures may ask for comfortable sizes and print-friendly conditions. The ampersand and punctuation share the same crisp, traditional serif detailing, helping the font feel consistent across mixed content.
