A classic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and finely bracketed serifs. The outlines show a subtly calligraphic, oldstyle influence: rounded joins, gently cupped terminals, and smooth, controlled curves that keep counters open. Uppercase proportions feel stately and balanced, while the lowercase maintains an even reading rhythm with compact, well-defined bowls and a slightly lively baseline presence. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and clear figure silhouettes that sit comfortably alongside text.

Well suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and magazine text where a traditional serif voice is desired. It can also support upscale branding and formal materials—such as programs, invitations, and certificates—especially when set with generous spacing and strong hierarchy.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, projecting credibility and polish. Its refined contrast and tapered details lend a literary, editorial voice that feels at home in long-established print conventions and formal messaging.

Designed to provide a familiar, trustworthy text-seriffed reading experience with a touch of refinement from higher contrast and calligraphic shaping. The aim appears to balance classical proportions and crisp detail to perform in both continuous text and display-like headings.

Stroke transitions are clean and consistent, giving the face a crisp texture at larger sizes while still reading as a conventional text serif. The italics are not shown; the visible roman keeps a steady vertical stress and a measured, dignified color on the page.
