A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered joins and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Stems often flare subtly into wedge-like endings, paired with small, crisp serifs that feel cut rather than rounded. The uppercase has a dignified, classical stance with compact counters and pointed terminals (notably in letters like A, V, W, and Y), while the lowercase shows a slightly oldstyle rhythm with energetic, angled entry/exit strokes. Curves are drawn with tight apertures and a controlled, sculpted tension, giving the overall texture a dark, authoritative color in text.

Well suited to magazine headlines, book and journal titling, and branded editorial systems where contrast and crisp serifs add hierarchy. It can also serve for pull quotes and short-to-medium text where a darker, more assertive texture is desirable.

The tone is elegant and assertive—traditional at first glance, but with enough sharpness and flare to feel contemporary and punchy. It reads as literary and editorial, with a slightly dramatic, display-forward personality that still holds together in paragraph settings.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with flared, wedge-like finishing to create a refined yet attention-getting voice. Its emphasis on contrast, tight apertures, and crisp terminals suggests a focus on strong typographic presence in editorial and display contexts.

The numerals and capitals share the same chiselled contrast and pointed detailing, which helps headlines look cohesive. Spacing appears on the tighter side in the samples, contributing to a dense, confident typographic block.
