A crisp serif with wedge-like, flared terminals and small bracketed serifs that give many strokes an incised, chiseled feel. Curves are smooth and fairly open, with a measured rhythm and moderate stroke modulation that reads cleanly at text sizes. Capitals are stately and slightly narrow in presence, while the lowercase combines sturdy verticals with distinctive triangular feet and tapered joins, producing a lively but controlled texture. Numerals follow the same tapered, serifed construction, with clear, traditional silhouettes.

Well suited to editorial layouts, book or long-form reading, and cultural or academic materials where a traditional serif texture is desirable. It also performs nicely for headlines, pulled quotes, and formal invitations where the sharpened terminals can add presence without requiring a heavy weight.

The overall tone is classical and literary, evoking a sense of tradition and cultivated formality. Its sharp, tapered serifs add a subtle decorative edge that feels ceremonial rather than playful, suitable for work that wants a historic or institutional voice without heavy ornament.

The design appears intended to blend readable, traditional serif construction with an incised, flared-terminal personality—offering a familiar text face structure while adding a distinctive, slightly decorative finish for sophisticated typography.

Several glyphs show pronounced flaring at stroke ends and occasional spur-like details that add character in display settings while remaining coherent in paragraph text. The italic is not shown, and the roman maintains a consistent upright posture and even spacing in the sample text.
