A sturdy, high-contrast serif with sharply tapered strokes and pronounced wedge-like terminals that flare at the ends. Serifs are bracketed and often triangular, giving the outlines a sculpted, chiseled feel rather than a purely transitional or modern construction. Counters are relatively compact, curves are taut, and joins show a calligraphic logic with clear thick–thin modulation. The lowercase is compact with a short-to-moderate x-height, while capitals are broad and imposing; overall spacing reads slightly tight in heavier text, emphasizing dark, continuous texture.

Best suited to display typography such as magazine and newspaper headlines, book-cover titling, posters, and brand marks that benefit from a strong serif presence. It can also work for short editorial decks and pull quotes, especially when given extra letterspacing and leading to manage its dense color.

The tone is commanding and traditional, with a headline-ready seriousness that feels editorial and institutionally grounded. Its sharp flares and strong contrast add a touch of drama and ceremony, suggesting heritage, gravitas, and a curated, premium voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, classic serif voice with flared, wedge-like endings and strong contrast—aimed at high-impact titling where a traditional yet striking silhouette is the priority.

In the sample text, the dense weight and tight internal spaces create a very dark typographic color at large sizes, which can look striking but may require generous tracking and line spacing for comfortable reading. The numerals and capitals carry the most visual personality, with pointed terminals and crisp silhouettes that stand out in display settings.
