This serif features pronounced thick–thin modulation with hairline joins and crisp, finely tapered serifs. Capitals are stately and open, with generous counters and a measured, traditional rhythm; curves are smoothly modeled and strokes end in sharp, controlled terminals. The lowercase shows a relatively tall x-height with compact ascenders, aiding clarity in text while preserving a refined, high-contrast texture. Numerals and punctuation match the same polished, editorial tone, with old-style-like warmth in curves and careful spacing that reads cleanly at larger text sizes.

Well suited to magazine typography, book interiors, and other editorial layouts where a refined serif texture is desired. It also performs convincingly for display settings—covers, section heads, pull quotes, and premium branding—where its sharp hairlines and elegant modeling can be appreciated.

The overall tone is sophisticated and editorial, projecting a classic, bookish authority. Its high contrast and precise finishing add a sense of luxury and formality, making the voice feel composed, cultured, and confident rather than casual.

This appears designed to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with elevated contrast and crisp detailing, balancing classical proportions with a taller lowercase to keep text feeling clear and contemporary in use.

The design’s contrast creates a lively vertical shimmer in paragraphs, with strong stems and delicate hairlines producing a distinctly “print” character. Wide, round forms (notably in O/Q/C) contrast with tighter joins and sharper diagonals (V/W/K), giving the alphabet a dynamic but controlled rhythm.
