A high-contrast serif with strongly modulated strokes, sturdy verticals, and sharply thinning hairlines that create a lively light–dark rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and often taper into pointed, calligraphic-looking ends, while several letters show soft ball/teardrop terminals that add warmth to the otherwise crisp structure. Counters are generous and the lowercase is compact but clear, with a slightly energetic, engraved feel in curves and joins. Numerals appear oldstyle with noticeable ascenders/descenders, reinforcing a traditional text tone while remaining punchy at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other editorial typography where high contrast and strong serif detailing can be appreciated. It can also work well for book covers and brand marks that want a traditional, authoritative voice with a bit of drama, and for posters where bold typographic impact is the priority.

The overall tone feels editorial and confident, pairing classic bookish manners with a more theatrical, inked contrast. It reads as refined and traditional, but with enough personality in the terminals and contrast to feel emphatic and attention-getting.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation with elevated contrast and expressive finishing, producing a classic but more emphatic voice. Its detailing suggests an aim toward print-like elegance and headline presence rather than understated running-text neutrality.

Round letters like C, G, O, and S show pronounced contrast and smooth curvature, giving the face a slightly “carved” presence in heavy settings. The diagonal forms (V, W, X, Y) look firm and well-braced, helping maintain clarity in all-caps lines, while the punctuation and dots carry the same weighty, rounded finishing as the letter terminals.
