A serifed, oldstyle-inspired letterform with visibly irregular, roughened contours that create a worn, inked-in texture. Strokes show moderate contrast with softened joins and blunted terminals, and the serifs read as small wedges or slabs that vary slightly from glyph to glyph. Counters are uneven and occasionally pinched, with subtle nicks and bumps along the outlines that suggest distressed printing rather than clean digital geometry. Overall spacing and proportions are fairly traditional, with readable capitals and a compact, slightly irregular rhythm in lowercase.

Best suited to display settings where texture is an asset: posters, book covers, album art, packaging, menus, and themed branding. It can also work for short passages or pull quotes when a vintage, distressed tone is desired, while long-form body copy will be most comfortable at generous sizes and leading.

The texture and uneven edges give the font a timeworn, handmade character that feels antique and lived-in. It carries a lightly macabre, storybook tone—more curious and theatrical than aggressive—evoking old posters, period ephemera, and mysterious headings.

The design appears intended to merge a classic serif foundation with deliberate surface wear, simulating imperfect ink coverage and aged print. Its goal is to deliver instant atmosphere—heritage, craft, and a hint of gothic storytelling—without sacrificing basic legibility.

The distressing is consistent across letters and numerals, producing a cohesive “aged” color in text blocks. At larger sizes the nicks and waviness become a defining feature; at smaller sizes the roughness may visually thicken strokes and reduce crispness, especially in tighter counters.
