A flared serif with gently tapered strokes and softly swelling terminals that give stems a subtle brush-like modulation. Serifs are short and integrated, more like shaped endings than sharp slabs, contributing to a smooth, continuous rhythm. Uppercase forms feel broad and open, with rounded bowls and a slightly calligraphic stress; the Q shows a prominent, sweeping tail. Lowercase is readable and traditional with a single-storey g and a compact, curved ear and terminals, while numerals are lining and maintain the same flared, tapered logic for a cohesive texture in text.

Well-suited to editorial typography where a classic serif voice is needed but a warmer, more human finish is desired. It can handle longer text passages with a smooth rhythm, and it also scales well for display use in headlines, pull quotes, and literary or cultural branding.

The overall tone is bookish and refined, combining classic serif familiarity with a warm, hand-influenced presence. It feels more personable than a strict transitional serif, with a gentle liveliness that suits narrative and editorial voice without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif proportions with flared, calligraphy-informed terminals to create an approachable, timeless text face. Its consistent tapering and shaped endings suggest a focus on graceful readability and a subtly distinctive texture on the page.

Texture in paragraphs appears even and comfortable, with soft joins and rounded curves that avoid brittle sharpness. The italic is not shown here, but the roman already carries a slight calligraphic energy through its flared endings and varied terminal shaping.
