A sharply inclined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, wedge-like terminals. The serifs are small but emphatic and generally bracketed, with many strokes finishing in pointed, knife-edge shapes that heighten the sense of speed. Capitals are sturdy and compact with slightly tapered arms and beaks, while the lowercase shows lively, calligraphic shaping—especially in the curved letters—creating a rhythmic, forward-leaning texture. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with strong verticals, narrow joins, and sculpted curves that read confidently at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and other short-to-medium display copy where the high contrast and sharp terminals can be appreciated. It can work well for magazine/editorial settings, event or poster typography, and branding that calls for a classic serif voice with heightened emphasis; extended body text would benefit from generous size and leading.

The overall tone is dramatic and editorial, pairing classical serif formality with an energetic, almost swash-like italic momentum. It feels emphatic and attention-grabbing, suited to messaging that wants tradition with bite rather than quiet neutrality.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation while amplifying impact through strong contrast, italic momentum, and pointed terminal detailing. It prioritizes expressive rhythm and headline presence over quiet, paragraph-first neutrality.

Spacing in the samples reads relatively tight and compact, which reinforces a dense, authoritative color on the page. The italic construction appears integral to the design (not simply slanted), with stroke endings and internal curves shaped to keep counters open despite the heavy contrast.
