A high-contrast serif with crisp bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The roman shows a relatively vertical stress and tapered hairlines that resolve into sharp, clean terminals. Capitals are stately and slightly narrow, with ample counters and a formal rhythm; diagonals and joins stay crisp rather than calligraphically soft. Lowercase forms keep a traditional structure with a two-storey a and g, a compact, pointed w, and a slender f whose ascender rises above the x-height; overall spacing reads even and text-oriented, while the contrast and fine details add sparkle at display sizes.

Well suited to editorial design such as magazines, essays, and book interiors where a traditional serif voice is desired. The crisp contrast and refined details also make it effective for pull quotes, section heads, cultural branding, and formal printed materials where elegance and clarity are important.

The tone is classic and cultivated, balancing bookish tradition with a polished, upscale finish. Its contrast and sharpness suggest formality and care, lending an editorial, museum-like confidence to headlines while remaining composed in continuous reading.

The design appears intended as a conventional, literary serif that prioritizes familiar, time-tested letterforms while using strong contrast and neat finishing to deliver a more luxurious, print-forward feel. It aims to read comfortably in text while providing enough sparkle and structure for headings and typographic emphasis.

Numerals are lining-style in appearance, with clear thick–thin transitions and distinct shapes; the 2 and 3 are particularly curvilinear, while 4 and 7 keep crisp, angular construction. The Q features a distinctive sweeping tail that adds a touch of flourish without becoming decorative, and the overall punctuation and word shapes in the sample paragraph maintain a steady, readable texture.
