A slanted serif design with sturdy, low-contrast strokes and a noticeably rough, inked edge treatment. Letterforms are moderately wide with a relaxed, uneven rhythm, as if struck on a worn ribbon or printed on absorbent paper. Serifs are short and blunt, counters are open and rounded, and joins show slight swelling and wobble that creates a textured, imperfect silhouette. The lowercase keeps a familiar, readable skeleton while preserving the distressed outline, and the numerals share the same rugged, slightly irregular finish.

Well-suited to posters, book covers, and editorial headlines that benefit from an aged, printed voice. It also works for packaging and branding that leans into heritage, workshop, or archival cues, as well as pull quotes and short passages where the textured impression can contribute to the atmosphere.

The overall tone feels analog and timeworn, evoking archival documents, mid-century correspondence, and gritty reportage. The roughened contours add tension and tactility, suggesting urgency, authenticity, and a handmade or mechanically imperfect origin.

The design appears intended to combine a classic serif italic foundation with a deliberately worn, ink-affected finish, capturing the character of imperfect printing while remaining broadly legible. The goal is a dependable text-and-display voice that brings instant vintage texture and materiality to layouts.

The distress is consistent across the set, reading more like natural ink spread and worn impression than random grunge noise. In running text, the slant and texture create a lively shimmer, so it reads best when the distressed character is meant to be seen rather than completely disappear into long-form copy.
