A sharply faceted blackletter with narrow proportions and strong thick–thin contrast. Stems are predominantly vertical with crisp, broken strokes, pointed terminals, and wedge-like serifs that create a rhythmic, jagged texture across words. Many letters show a slightly distressed, hand-drawn edge—small nicks, splits, and hairline spur marks—adding an aged, ink-on-parchment feel. Counters are tight and dark, and the lowercase keeps a compact, compressed silhouette with a relatively small x-height compared to the ascenders.

Best suited to display settings where a gothic or historical atmosphere is desired—posters, titles, packaging, and cover work. It can work for short text passages at larger sizes, but the dense texture and tight counters make it more effective for headlines, subheads, and branding marks than for long body copy.

The overall tone is medieval and ceremonial, with a darker, ominous edge. Its fractured forms and blade-like terminals feel authoritative and archaic, evoking manuscripts, spellbooks, and gothic signage rather than everyday reading.

The design appears intended to channel traditional blackletter structure while adding a roughened, hand-rendered finish for mood and character. Its narrow, high-impact rhythm prioritizes atmosphere and period flavor over neutrality, aiming for dramatic, textural typography in prominent use.

The uppercase set leans more decorative, with several letters showing more pronounced asymmetry and spurs, while the lowercase appears more regularized for text-like setting. The numerals follow the same angular construction and contrast, reading as stylized rather than neutral, which reinforces the historic display character.
