A compact, heavy slab-serif with chunky rectangular serifs and mostly squared-off terminals. Stems are thick and confident, with modest internal shaping that creates a lightly chiseled, ink-trap-like bite at joins and corners. Counters are relatively tight and geometric, with rounded-rectangle interiors on forms like O and 0, and the overall rhythm is dense and strongly vertical. The lowercase follows the same sturdy construction, with sturdy shoulders and feet, giving text a firm, uniform texture despite the font’s natural width variation across letters.

Best suited for display settings where strong presence is needed: posters, headlines, labels, and bold brand marks. It also fits directional or storefront signage and editorial callouts where a vintage, rugged slab-serif voice helps anchor the layout. For longer text, it performs best in short bursts such as subheads, pull quotes, and titling.

The tone is bold and workmanlike, evoking classic poster wood-type and utilitarian signage. Its hard-edged slabs and tight spacing feel emphatic and no-nonsense, with a nostalgic, frontier-meets-industrial character that reads as confident and attention-grabbing.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a condensed, slab-serif structure, borrowing from traditional display slabs used in advertising and signage. Its corner shaping and compact counters suggest an aim for sturdy legibility and a distinctive, slightly weathered texture in large-size applications.

The design relies on strong silhouettes and pronounced slabs to stay readable at distance, while the corner notches and tight counters add grit and texture at larger sizes. Numerals are similarly block-built, matching the uppercase weight and stance for consistent headline use.
