A classic serif with sharply cut, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes taper cleanly into hairlines, while verticals carry most of the weight, creating a crisp, engraved rhythm. Curves are smooth and controlled, with open counters and a slightly compact, text-forward fit. The lowercase shows traditional proportions with a two-storey “a” and “g,” a narrow, upright “f,” and a modestly curved “t,” maintaining an even, disciplined texture in paragraphs.

Well-suited to continuous reading in books, essays, and long-form editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also performs nicely in refined display settings—such as magazine headlines, cultural programs, or formal invitations—where its crisp contrast and sharp serifs can add polish.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, with a distinctly bookish, editorial character. Its high-contrast detailing and neat terminals give it a refined, formal voice suited to established institutions and classic publishing aesthetics.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-oriented serif voice with clear hierarchy between thick and thin strokes and a disciplined page color. It prioritizes elegance and typographic tradition over overt stylization, aiming for dependable use in editorial and book typography.

Numerals appear proportional and oldstyle-leaning in spirit, with varied heights and delicate hairline joins that match the text color. Uppercase forms are elegant and slightly narrow, and the joins and shoulders (notably in “n/m” and “h”) keep a steady cadence without feeling overly mechanical.
