This serif presents a traditional text-face structure with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Capitals are tall and relatively narrow with sharp terminals and clear vertical stress, while the lowercase shows compact bowls, a single-storey “g,” and ball terminals on characters like “j,” “y,” and “f.” Numerals follow the same oldstyle logic, mixing ascenders and descenders with strong contrast and tapered joins. Overall spacing feels firm and rhythmic, with slightly angular curves and crisp, sculpted interior counters.

Well suited to editorial layouts, long-form book typography, and magazine design where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong contrast and sculpted serifs also make it effective for headings, pull quotes, and premium packaging or labeling that benefits from a traditional, authoritative tone.

The tone is classic and editorial, projecting seriousness and authority without feeling ornate. Its calligraphic details and oldstyle numerals add a bookish, historical flavor suited to traditional publishing aesthetics.

The design appears intended as a conventional, literary serif with high-contrast calligraphic cues, combining robust readability with a more expressive, oldstyle character set. Its goal seems to be a dependable text face that can also carry presence in display settings through sharp terminals and emphatic stroke modulation.

Distinctive identifying cues include the single-storey “g,” the ball-terminal “j,” and the lively, descending oldstyle figures (notably 3, 5, and 9). The high-contrast strokes and pointed terminals make it visually impactful at larger sizes while maintaining a conventional text-serif silhouette.
