This serif typeface shows sharply modulated strokes with strong thick–thin contrast and crisp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are relatively broad with a steady, upright stance and clean, tapered terminals; diagonals (V, W, Y, X) are dark and decisive, while curved letters (C, G, S) have smooth, carved-looking contours. The lowercase features a two-storey a and g, compact joins, and pronounced ball/teardrop-like terminals on letters such as a, c, f, j, and y. Numerals are lining-style with bold, sculpted forms and clear serif treatment, matching the text rhythm.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and formal publishing where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from high-contrast elegance and a traditional, authoritative feel.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a distinctly editorial polish. Its strong contrast and crisp detailing convey refinement and seriousness, leaning toward literary and institutional contexts rather than casual or utilitarian ones.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, bookish serif with heightened elegance through pronounced contrast and carefully shaped terminals. It prioritizes a polished, classic reading texture while still offering enough boldness for display use in headings and editorial layouts.

In paragraph setting the dense vertical stress and sturdy serifs create a confident texture, while the wide capitals and emphatic curves give headlines a stately presence. The ampersand and figures carry the same high-contrast, engraved-like character, helping mixed text (titles, numbers, abbreviations) feel cohesive.
