A high-contrast serif with a crisp, print-oriented finish, featuring thin hairlines and stronger vertical stems. Serifs are bracketed and relatively fine, with sharp terminals that stay clean rather than rounded. Curves are smooth and controlled, and the capitals feel spacious with open counters and slightly tapered joins that create a poised rhythm. The lowercase shows a traditional, readable structure with a modest x-height and clear differentiation between similar forms, while the numerals follow the same contrast pattern and balanced proportions.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and essays, as well as magazine and newspaper-style editorial layouts where a refined serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for display typography—chapter openers, pull quotes, and elegant headlines—where its contrast and crisp terminals can be appreciated at larger sizes.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, with a distinctly literary, bookish presence. Its sharp hairlines and restrained detailing suggest formality and a sense of tradition, making the texture feel polished and composed rather than casual or playful.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances readability with a polished, traditional voice. Its controlled proportions and bracketed serifs aim to produce a steady reading rhythm while retaining a refined, formal character for editorial use.

In text, the strong thick–thin modulation gives lines a lively sparkle, especially in settings with ample size and comfortable leading. The italics are not shown, and the roman’s detailing reads best where the fine strokes have room to reproduce cleanly.
