A crisp, high-contrast serif with clearly bracketed, gently flared serifs and a strongly calligraphic stress. Capitals are stately and open, with sharp apexes and tapered terminals that keep the silhouette clean at display sizes. Lowercase forms are sturdy and readable, with compact bowls and pronounced hairlines; the two-storey a and g, the firm, flat-ended t, and the crisp beaks on letters like f and r reinforce a traditional text-seriffed construction. Numerals echo the same contrast and finishing, with smooth curves on 6–9 and sharp, stable footing on 1 and 4.

Well suited to book typography, magazine and newspaper-style editorial layouts, and formal publishing contexts where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and title treatment that benefit from high-contrast crispness and a classic, trustworthy tone.

The overall tone is polished and literary, projecting authority without feeling overly ornate. Its sharp serifs and strong contrast read as editorial and classical, giving text a poised, “printed page” character suitable for serious content.

This design appears intended to provide a conventional, print-rooted serif for comfortable reading while retaining enough contrast and sharp finishing to look elegant in larger sizes. The consistent modulation and bracketed serif treatment suggest a focus on timeless editorial utility rather than novelty.

Spacing and rhythm feel even and measured, with a slightly generous width that helps counters stay open in longer lines. Curves show controlled modulation rather than soft rounding, and terminals tend to finish in neat wedges or tapered strokes, lending a precise, engraved-like clarity.
