A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, crisp hairlines, and neatly bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and relatively wide, with sharp apexes and confident vertical stress; the Q features a long, sweeping tail that adds a decorative accent. Lowercase shows a compact x-height with tall ascenders and deep descenders, giving text a vertical, traditional rhythm. Counters are open and smoothly rounded, while terminals and joins stay clean and controlled, producing an even, readable color at text sizes.

Well suited to books, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine typography where a classic serif texture is desirable. It also works effectively for formal collateral such as invitations, programs, and institutional communications, and for headlines that benefit from a traditional, polished voice without becoming overly ornate.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with an understated elegance that feels at home in editorial and institutional settings. Its contrast and fine detailing convey refinement and seriousness rather than casualness, lending a composed, authoritative voice to headings and long-form reading alike.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif that balances clarity with classical proportion and high-contrast detailing. Its compact lowercase and disciplined serifs suggest a focus on comfortable reading and familiar typographic tone, with a few expressive touches (notably the Q) to keep it visually distinctive.

The numerals share the same high-contrast, old-style sensibility, with curved forms and delicate finishing that match the text glyphs. Spacing appears measured and consistent, supporting a steady line texture in paragraph setting while allowing the capitals to feel slightly more display-leaning when enlarged.
