This is a high-contrast serif with an italic, calligraphic construction: thin hairlines and heavier main strokes create a crisp light–dark rhythm, and the serifs are bracketed and delicately tapered. The italic slant is moderate and consistent, with flowing joins and subtly swelling curves that give the shapes a lively, handwritten energy while remaining controlled. Uppercase forms are stately and open, with gently flared terminals and elegant diagonals (notably in V/W/X/Y). The lowercase shows classic italic features such as a single-storey a and g, a long descender on j, and compact, well-shaped bowls; numerals appear as oldstyle figures with varied heights and pronounced ascenders/descenders.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where an elegant italic is needed for emphasis, pull quotes, or subheads. It also fits literary covers, magazine features, and formal materials such as programs, invitations, and brand collateral that benefits from a classic serif voice.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, conveying refinement and credibility rather than novelty. Its crisp contrast and graceful italics suggest a cultured, bookish voice suited to established institutions, editorial contexts, and classic branding.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif italic with elevated contrast and a calligraphic backbone—balancing tradition and clarity while adding expressive movement for emphasis and refined display settings.

Stroke modulation is pronounced enough to read as sophisticated at display and text sizes, but the very thin hairlines and tight internal apertures in some letters will benefit from adequate size and print-friendly reproduction. Spacing feels measured and even, with a smooth baseline rhythm and a slightly lively, organic italic movement.
