This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, tapered terminals and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Capitals are wide and carefully proportioned, with sharp apexes and clean vertical stress that reads confidently at display sizes. The lowercase has a steady rhythm and moderate x-height, with open counters and smooth joins; details like the two-storey a and g, short-armed r, and sturdy n/m contribute to a traditional text-serif texture. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing straight stems with rounded forms for a formal, bookish feel.

Well suited to editorial typography—magazine features, essays, and book interiors—where high contrast and classic proportions support comfortable reading and a premium tone. It also performs effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and identity work that wants a traditional, cultivated voice.

The overall tone is poised and classical, projecting an editorial seriousness associated with books, magazines, and cultural institutions. Its sharp serifs and glossy contrast add a sense of luxury and ceremony without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast serif for literary and editorial settings, pairing crisp, modern sharpness with historically grounded letterforms. It aims to deliver a refined page texture in text while retaining strong presence in display typography.

At larger sizes the sharp serifs and pointed diagonals (notably in A, V, W, X, Y) create strong sparkle and clear silhouettes, while in continuous text the contrast produces a refined, slightly formal color. The spacing appears balanced for paragraph setting, with capitals that feel comfortable in headlines and titling.
