A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. The letterforms feel sculpted and slightly calligraphic, with tapered joins and subtly flared terminals that keep strokes lively rather than mechanical. Capitals are broad and steady with strong vertical stress, while the lowercase shows rounded bowls and a moderate x-height that maintains readability. Numerals align with the text style, featuring clear contrast and traditional proportions, including an open-top style on some figures and rounded forms on 8 and 9.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, books, and magazine typography where a classic serif voice is desired. The contrast and crisp serifs also make it effective for display use—chapter titles, pull quotes, and refined branding—especially at medium to large sizes where its detailing reads clearly.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, evoking printed literature, editorial typography, and established institutions. Its sharp contrast and refined detailing add a sense of elegance, while the sturdy skeletons keep it grounded and practical.

This design appears intended as a timeless, general-purpose text serif that balances traditional proportions with a polished, high-contrast finish. The goal seems to be an authoritative reading face that can also elevate headlines with a distinctly classical presence.

In text, the rhythm is even and the counters remain open despite the strong contrast, helping the type hold together at larger paragraph sizes. The italic is not shown, and the presentation emphasizes a clean roman intended for continuous reading as well as prominent headings.
