A rough, print-worn serif with irregular contours and ragged terminals that mimic ink spread and degraded letterpress or typewriter output. Strokes stay generally even in thickness while edges wobble and fill-in varies, producing a mottled, slightly blotchy silhouette across the set. Serifs are sturdy and bracketed, counters are a bit pinched in places, and round forms (O, C, G) show uneven curvature that reinforces the distressed texture. Spacing reads open and sturdy, with lively, imperfect rhythm that feels intentionally aged rather than purely geometric.

Well-suited for display settings where texture is an asset: posters, book and album covers, labels, and identity work aiming for an aged or handmade print aesthetic. It can also work for short bursts of body text when a vintage, imperfect voice is desired, especially in quotes, pull-lines, or editorial accents.

The overall tone is gritty and nostalgic, evoking paper ephemera, old documents, and worn printing. Its roughness lends a human, tactile quality that can feel ominous or utilitarian depending on context—somewhere between Western poster ink and noir reportage.

The design appears intended to recreate the character of worn printing—like a typewriter or letterpress impression that has picked up damage, ink bleed, and uneven transfer over time. Its goal is to add instant atmosphere and materiality while keeping letterforms familiar and readable.

The distress is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, creating a cohesive “found print” look. At smaller sizes the texture may compress into darker spots, while larger sizes better reveal the chipped edges and irregular inked surface.
