This is a high-contrast serif with sharp hairlines and strong vertical stress, pairing sturdy main stems with extremely fine connecting strokes. Serifs are bracketed and taper to pointed, slightly flared terminals, giving the outlines a crisp, cut-in feel. Proportions are classically bookish with moderate x-height, compact bowls, and a measured rhythm; the lowercase shows a two-storey a and g, narrow joins, and delicate apertures that stay controlled at text sizes. Numerals follow the same contrast pattern, with thin crossbars and pronounced thick–thin modulation that reads distinctly in display settings.

Well-suited for magazine typography, book jackets, and other editorial contexts where a classic, high-contrast serif is desired. It performs particularly well for headlines, pull quotes, and refined title settings, and can also support formal materials such as invitations or cultural branding when set with ample size and leading.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, leaning toward literary and editorial sophistication. Its refined contrast and sharp terminals add a sense of luxury and ceremony, while the restrained proportions keep it grounded and serious rather than playful.

The design appears intended to evoke a conventional literary serif tradition with a more dramatic thick–thin modulation for heightened elegance. It prioritizes a refined page color and crisp detail, positioning it as a typeface for polished reading experiences and elevated display typography.

In the text sample, the hairlines and tight joins create a bright, sparkling texture, especially around diagonals and cross-strokes. At larger sizes the crisp serifs and tapered terminals become a defining feature, while in dense paragraphs the contrast calls for comfortable sizing and spacing to preserve clarity.
