This typeface is built on a blackletter-inspired skeleton with sharp, angular forms and pointed terminals. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin contrast and a chiseled rhythm, but the outlines are intentionally irregular: edges appear nicked, blotted, and slightly torn, as if printed from a worn block or distressed plate. Uppercase letters are compact and emphatic with narrow counters, while the lowercase keeps a similarly dark texture with uneven joins and occasional spur-like protrusions. Numerals follow the same broken, faceted construction, maintaining a cohesive, gritty color across the set.

Well-suited for display typography in posters, title treatments, and branding where an ominous or historical voice is desired. It can work effectively for short headlines, logos, chapter openers, and thematic packaging; for longer passages, larger sizes and generous tracking help preserve legibility.

The overall tone is dark and theatrical, blending medieval and horror-adjacent cues with a handmade, weathered finish. Its roughened contours add urgency and grit, suggesting age, danger, or arcane storytelling rather than refinement.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic blackletter feel while adding a deliberate worn-print distress to evoke age and atmosphere. It prioritizes character and texture over neutrality, aiming to create immediate thematic impact in display contexts.

In text settings the distressed edges create a lively, shimmering texture, especially at smaller sizes where the nicks and spikes begin to fuse into a heavier mass. The face is most visually stable when given ample size and spacing, allowing the interior shapes and contrast to read cleanly.
