A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp hairlines that taper cleanly into bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The capitals are tall and stately with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and a measured, classical rhythm across straight stems and rounded bowls. Lowercase forms keep a moderate x-height with delicate joins and compact counters; terminals often finish in fine points or small flares, and the italics are not present in the sample. Numerals follow the same contrast logic, mixing sturdy main strokes with very light connecting curves for an airy, engraved feel.

Well-suited to editorial headlines, magazine typography, book covers and chapter titles, and brand marks that benefit from a polished, classic serif voice. It can also work for invitations and formal announcements where high contrast and sharp detailing are desirable.

The overall tone is poised and cultured, suggesting traditional book typography and upscale editorial design. Its dramatic contrast and fine details add a sense of sophistication and ceremony, reading as formal without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-friendly serif with heightened contrast and carefully shaped serifs, balancing classic proportions with a more dramatic, display-leaning crispness. It aims to communicate authority and refinement while staying within familiar text-serif conventions.

At larger sizes the hairlines and sharp joins look especially clean, while the strong contrast can make dense settings feel more sparkling than sturdy. Rounded letters show a slightly calligraphic stress, and the punctuation and figures maintain the same refined, high-contrast voice as the letters.
