A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced calligraphic slant and crisp, bracketed serifs. Strokes taper sharply into fine hairlines, with swelling on curves that creates a lively thick–thin rhythm and diagonal stress. Capitals are relatively upright in structure but consistently slanted, with flared terminals and tapered joins; the lowercase shows flowing entry/exit strokes, single-storey forms (notably the ‘a’), and a compact, slightly narrow feel. Numerals are also italic and drawn with strong modulation, pairing open curves with sharp, serifed feet and delicate finials.

Well suited to editorial settings where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, introductions, pull quotes, or refined headings. It also works for literary and cultural materials—book jackets, chapter openers, and formal communications—where a classic, high-contrast serif italic can add polish and hierarchy.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, evoking bookish elegance and period-leaning formality. Its energetic italic movement adds a sense of sophistication and motion without becoming decorative or flamboyant.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic construction, balancing readability with expressive stroke modulation. Its goal is to provide a refined, traditional italic tone for continuous text and typographic emphasis while preserving a cohesive, bookish color on the page.

The face maintains a consistent angle and contrast across letters, with generous internal counters that help keep the italic from feeling cramped. The varied, tapered terminals and subtly asymmetric curves give the text a handwritten-informed texture while remaining clearly typographic and disciplined.
