A heavy, high-contrast serif with pronounced flaring at stroke endings and strongly bracketed serifs. The letterforms are broad and generously proportioned, with crisp triangular apexes on A/V/W and sharply cut joins that emphasize the vertical stress. Counters are relatively tight for the weight, and curves (C, O, S) show a sculpted, calligraphic modulation from thick to thin. Lowercase forms lean toward sturdy, bookish proportions with compact bowls and distinct terminals, while numerals are similarly weighty and display-oriented, with bold curves and clear serif cues.

Best suited to headlines, magazine/editorial typography, posters, and cover work where strong contrast and sculpted serif details can be appreciated. It can also work for branding and logotypes that want a traditional serif voice with extra drama, especially at medium-to-large sizes.

The overall tone is editorial and authoritative, combining classical serif familiarity with a more theatrical, high-impact presence. Its strong contrast and flared details create a sense of luxury and formality, making the text feel assertive and attention-grabbing rather than quiet or neutral.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif silhouette with heightened impact through strong contrast, broad proportions, and flared, bracketed finishing strokes. It prioritizes a confident, display-forward texture that signals tradition while remaining visually forceful.

At larger sizes the flare and bracketing read as intentional ornament, giving headings a carved, engraved-like rhythm. In dense settings the weight and narrowed internal spaces can darken the texture, so spacing and size choice will strongly affect readability.
