A sharply angular blackletter with a pronounced forward slant and crisp, knife-like terminals. Strokes alternate between dense vertical stems and hairline links, creating a bright, faceted rhythm across words. Counters are tight and often triangular, and many joins break into pointed notches that emphasize a cut, chiseled texture. Capitals are compact but decorated with hooked spurs and barbed entry strokes, while lowercase forms stay narrow and upright in structure despite the overall lean.

Best suited to display typography where the distinctive fractured texture can be appreciated—posters, headlines, branding marks, and packaging with a historical or gothic theme. It also works well for certificates, event titles, and short editorial callouts where a ceremonial, authoritative voice is desired rather than extended reading.

The tone is traditional and imposing, evoking manuscript and heraldic lettering with an intense, dramatic color on the page. Its jagged silhouettes and aggressive terminals read as authoritative and ritualistic, lending a solemn, old-world gravitas to short statements.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic blackletter voice with heightened motion from the italic slant and a deliberately barbed, engraved finish. Its narrow proportions and tight internal spaces concentrate darkness, prioritizing impact and period character over comfortable long-form legibility.

The texture becomes especially vivid in dense sequences, where repeated verticals form a strong striped pattern typical of blackletter. Numerals and punctuation adopt the same sharpened treatment, helping the set feel visually consistent in display settings.
