A heavy, high-contrast display face with an irregular, hand-carved rhythm and sharply flared terminals. Strokes alternate between broad black masses and thin interior highlights, creating a cut-out, engraved feel rather than smooth modulation. Serifs read as wedge-like spurs, with angled joins, notched corners, and occasional hooked terminals that give letters a lively, slightly unruly texture. Counters are compact and often pinched, while curves (notably in C, O, S, and numerals) stay bold and rounded but are interrupted by sharp facets and inner scoops. Spacing and letter widths vary noticeably across the alphabet, reinforcing an expressive, hand-made cadence in words and lines.

Best suited to display settings such as posters, event titles, album or book covers, and themed packaging where a dramatic, old-world atmosphere is desirable. It can also work for short logotypes or wordmarks that benefit from a carved, gothic personality, but it is less appropriate for long-form text or small UI sizes where its dense forms and fine interior cuts may reduce clarity.

The tone is gothic and theatrical, evoking old-world signage, occult or mystery motifs, and storybook drama. Its jagged details and dark color create a bold, attention-grabbing voice that feels vintage and slightly mischievous rather than refined or neutral.

The design appears intended to mimic hand-cut or engraved letterforms with blackletter-inspired drama, combining bold shapes with chiseled notches and flared terminals to create an antique, attention-seeking display texture. Its variable widths and irregular detailing suggest an emphasis on character and atmosphere over strict uniformity and text readability.

In the sample text, the dense black silhouette holds up well at larger sizes, while the thin internal highlights and notches add character but can visually fill in at smaller sizes. The font’s uneven widths and animated outlines create strong texture in headlines, with a deliberately non-uniform, poster-like energy across repeated letters.
