A classic serif with noticeable thick–thin contrast and bracketed serifs that soften joins into the stems. Curves show a gently calligraphic stress, with round forms (C, G, O, Q) reading open and evenly modeled, while verticals stay crisp and steady. Proportions feel traditional: caps are stately with moderate width, lowercase is readable with a familiar rhythm, and spacing appears balanced for continuous text. Details like the angled leg on R, the expressive tail on Q, and the lively, asymmetric forms of a/g add character without becoming decorative.

Well-suited to editorial design, long-form reading, and printed materials where a conventional serif texture is desired. It also performs convincingly in titles, pull quotes, and formal branding applications that benefit from a composed, authoritative voice.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, conveying credibility and polish. It feels at home in established editorial contexts—confident, composed, and slightly formal—while still maintaining warmth through its bracketed serifs and gently humanist curvature.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional serif for general-purpose typography—prioritizing readability and a familiar literary texture while adding just enough classical detailing to feel refined in display use.

Figures are serifed and align stylistically with the text, with clear differentiation between shapes (notably the 2, 3, and 7) and a strong, traditional presence at display sizes. Uppercase forms carry a dignified, inscriptional flavor, while the lowercase keeps the texture smooth enough for paragraph settings.
