An italic serif with a distinctly calligraphic, humanist build. Strokes show moderate contrast with smooth transitions, and many terminals broaden into subtle flares that read as gently bracketed, tapered serifs rather than sharp slabs. The forms lean with a steady rhythm and slightly open apertures, while curves are round and continuous, giving counters a soft, organic feel. Lowercase shows a lively italic construction with single‑storey a and g, a flowing f, and a gently descending y; capitals are dignified and slightly narrower in feel, with crisp joins and restrained finishing. Numerals appear oldstyle with varied heights and pronounced italic movement, matching the text color and cadence of the letters.

Well suited to long-form editorial settings such as books, essays, and magazine features, especially where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or lead-ins. It also works effectively for refined headings, standfirsts, and pull quotes that benefit from a classic, literary character.

The overall tone is bookish and cultivated—more lyrical than technical. It feels traditional and trustworthy, with a warm, handwritten undercurrent that adds elegance without becoming overly formal or ornate.

Designed to provide a readable, classical italic with a humanist, pen-informed flavor. The flared endings and moderate contrast aim to balance elegance with steady text rhythm, making it appropriate for editorial typography where warmth and authority need to coexist.

Spacing and stroke rhythm create an even text color in paragraphs, with clear word shapes and a consistent rightward motion. The italic has enough structure to hold up in continuous reading while retaining expressive details in terminals and entry/exit strokes.
