A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered joins and a distinctly calligraphic stress. The serifs are bracketed yet crisp, with pointed terminals and wedge-like finishing that give many strokes a sculpted, chiseled edge. Capitals are tall and stately with clear thick–thin rhythm, while the lowercase keeps a moderate x-height and narrow apertures that create a dense, authoritative texture in text. Numerals follow the same contrast and serif treatment, with open counters and strong vertical emphasis.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired, and it can also serve effectively for magazine headlines, section openers, and pull quotes. The refined, formal character makes it a strong choice for invitations, cultural programming, and premium branding that benefits from a classic typographic palette.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting formality and polish rather than warmth or casualness. Its sharp terminals and strong contrast lend a slightly dramatic, high-end feel that reads as traditional and literary.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional text-serif foundation with elevated contrast and crisp finishing, balancing readability with a more dramatic, polished presence for contemporary editorial use.

In continuous text the contrast and tight interior spaces create a bold typographic color, making it feel more at home at comfortable reading sizes or in display-led settings than in very small, low-resolution use. The figures and capitals carry enough character to stand out in headings while remaining consistent with the text style.
