A high-contrast italic serif with flared, bracketed stroke endings and a strongly calligraphic rhythm. Stems show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with pointed, wedge-like terminals and crisp serif transitions that give the forms a carved, energetic edge. Proportions are moderately narrow with lively, variable letter widths; curves are compact and slightly teardrop-like in places, and the slant is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and figures. The lowercase features a single-storey a and g, a narrow, flowing f, and an overall texture that reads dense and punchy in text.

Best suited to headlines, decks, pull quotes, and other display roles where its high contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated. It also works for short editorial passages or literary packaging when a classic italic voice is desired, but its energetic texture is likely to feel intense for small, extended reading settings.

The tone is traditional and assertive, combining classic bookish italics with a dramatic, slightly theatrical sharpness. It feels formal and expressive rather than neutral, evoking editorial sophistication and old-world craftsmanship.

The design appears intended as a characterful italic serif that merges traditional, oldstyle influence with sharper, flared finishing for heightened contrast and presence. It aims to deliver a refined yet emphatic tone, giving typography a distinctly expressive, print-forward color.

Capitals carry strong diagonal stress and tapered joins that keep large sizes crisp, while the numerals and punctuation inherit the same angular, flared finishing. In longer lines the italic cadence is prominent, so spacing and word shapes become a key part of its voice.
