A heavy, high-contrast serif with sculpted, flared terminals and wedge-like serifs that feel carved rather than strictly mechanical. Stems are robust and largely upright, while curves show pronounced thick–thin modulation and rounded joins that keep the texture cohesive at display sizes. The serifs are sharply cut yet often softly bracketed into the main strokes, producing a crisp silhouette with a slightly calligraphic swing in letters like S, C, and a. Counters are moderate and the overall rhythm is compact and dense, with carefully shaped joins and small notches that add definition in tight interior spaces.

Best suited to headlines, mastheads, and short bursts of copy where its contrast and flared detailing can be appreciated. It should work well for magazine/editorial design, cultural or institutional branding, book and album covers, and poster typography that needs a classic but attention-grabbing voice.

The tone is authoritative and traditional, with a bold editorial presence that reads as confident and established. Its dramatic contrast and chiseled details give it a premium, slightly theatrical flavor—more headline-forward than neutral text.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif presence with extra impact: a display-oriented face that blends classical proportions with flared, calligraphy-informed stroke endings to create a distinctive, premium texture at larger sizes.

Uppercase forms are broad and weighty with strong horizontal emphasis, while the lowercase maintains a sturdy, oldstyle-leaning feel through its rounded forms and lively terminals. Numerals appear similarly assertive and well-suited to being set large, with clear shape differentiation and strong vertical stress.
