This serif features strong thick–thin modulation with pronounced vertical stress and crisp, bracketed serifs. Stems are sturdy and upright, while hairlines are fine and taut, creating a bright, high-contrast texture. The capitals are stately and evenly proportioned with sharp, clean apexes and subtly sculpted joins; rounds (C, O, Q) are smooth with thin entry/exit strokes. Lowercase forms are compact and traditional, with a two-storey “a,” a looped “g,” and a curved “f” that extends above the x-height; the “k” shows a distinctive curved lower arm. Numerals follow the same contrasty logic, with old-style detailing such as a swashed “2,” a curled “3,” and a “4” with a fine, angled crossbar.

Well-suited to magazine typography, book interiors, and other editorial settings where high contrast can read as premium and articulate. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from a classic, authoritative serif presence.

The overall tone is polished and classical, with a distinctly editorial voice. Its sharp serifs and dramatic contrast lend a sense of sophistication and authority, while the traditional shapes keep it grounded and familiar rather than experimental.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast serif for contemporary publishing: familiar letterforms shaped for a sophisticated, print-forward look, balancing traditional proportions with crisp detailing for modern editorial polish.

In text, the rhythm is driven by dark verticals and bright hairlines, producing a lively, high-definition page color that feels best at comfortable reading sizes. The outlines appear clean and consistent, with confident curves and clear terminal decisions that emphasize elegance over softness.
