A decorative serif with an incised inline running through most strokes, creating a carved, hollowed look. Letterforms are upright with uneven, hand-tooled contours: strokes wobble slightly, edges feel roughened, and terminals often flare into small wedge-like nubs. Curves are round and open (notably in O, C, and G), while verticals stay relatively straight but retain organic irregularity. Numerals and capitals show lively, varied silhouettes, giving the set a deliberately artisanal rhythm rather than strict geometric consistency.

Best suited to display typography where the inline engraving can be appreciated—posters, headlines, labels, and packaging, as well as book covers with a vintage or folkloric tone. It can also work for short branding wordmarks or signage-style applications where a handcrafted, old-time feel is desired.

The font reads as antique and handcrafted, evoking inked signpainting, engraved lettering, or storybook display type. Its inline cut lends a theatrical, slightly spooky charm that can feel playful or old-world depending on context, with a quirky texture that suggests handmade printing or carved signage.

The design appears intended to mimic carved or engraved lettering by combining a bold, irregular serif structure with a consistent incised inline. Its goal is to deliver a distinctive decorative voice—more characterful than a standard text serif—while remaining readable for short phrases and prominent titles.

The inline channel is a prominent identity feature and remains visible even in narrower strokes, adding interior contrast and visual sparkle. The irregular outlines and flared terminals create a textured color on the line, which is engaging at display sizes but can become busy as text gets smaller.
