A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, crisp terminals, and delicate hairline serifs. Proportions are relatively compact, with a steady vertical rhythm and carefully tapered joins that keep counters open despite the contrast. The lowercase shows traditional, text-friendly construction with a two-storey a and g, a slender f, and a gently curving, modestly bracketed serif treatment that reads clean and controlled in paragraphs. Numerals are similarly contrasty and formal, with smooth curves and a consistent baseline presence.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors where a classic serif voice and fine contrast are desirable. It also performs nicely for headlines and pull quotes that benefit from a cultivated, high-end feel, and for formal collateral where a traditional tone is preferred.

The overall tone is polished and literary, suggesting an editorial, bookish sensibility rather than a casual or decorative one. Its sharp contrast and fine finishing details convey sophistication and a sense of formality, while the steady rhythm keeps it composed in continuous reading.

The design appears intended as a conventional, classic serif for reading and tasteful display, emphasizing elegance through strong contrast and precise, restrained detailing. It aims to provide a composed page color and a familiar literary character while still feeling crisp and contemporary in finish.

Curved forms (C, G, O, Q) display a clear vertical stress and smooth modulation, while diagonals (V, W, Y) remain crisp without appearing brittle. Spacing appears measured and even in the sample text, helping the light hairlines retain clarity at display sizes.
