Capitals are more elaborate, featuring extended loops and sweeping swashes, while lowercase forms stay compact with narrow counters, tall ascenders/descenders, and frequent connective strokes that encourage continuous word shapes. Numerals echo the same calligraphic contrast and include curled terminals that harmonize with the alphabet.
