A delicate serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered terminals. The serifs are small and often flared or lightly bracketed, giving stems a subtly calligraphic finish rather than a purely mechanical one. Rounds are compact and slightly squared-off in places (notably in C/G/O-style forms), creating a controlled, structured rhythm. Uppercase proportions feel stately and narrow-leaning, while the lowercase keeps a moderate x-height with clear ascenders and descenders and a tidy, bookish texture in text.

Best suited to editorial headlines, magazine styling, book covers and titling, and other high-end display settings where its contrast and tapered detailing can be appreciated. It can also support short passages of text when set with comfortable spacing and sufficient size, especially in print-oriented layouts.

The overall tone is elegant and composed, with an editorial, literary feel. Its high-contrast sparkle and sharp finishing details suggest sophistication and formality, while the squarish curves add a faint modern edge rather than a purely historical look.

The design appears intended to combine classic serif refinement with a slightly unconventional, squared-curve construction, producing a distinctive display voice that still feels traditionally grounded. The emphasis is on elegance, contrast, and crisp finishing details for polished typography.

Distinctive, squared counters and softened-rectangular bowls show up across both letters and numerals, helping the face stand apart from conventional oldstyle or transitional text serifs. Numerals maintain the same high-contrast logic and firm geometry, reading cleanly at display sizes where the thin strokes can remain intact.
