This serif face combines sturdy, vertical stems with subtly tapered, flared stroke endings and bracketed serifs that read as chiseled and slightly calligraphic. Curves are smooth and generously rounded (notably in C, G, O, and the bowls of B/P/R), while joins stay clean and controlled. Capitals feel stately with wide proportions and emphatic top/bottom terminals, and the lowercase shows a compact, bookish texture with a two-storey a and g, a pointed, wedge-like t, and a distinctive, softly flared shoulder rhythm across n/m/h. Numerals are clear and traditional, with open forms and strong baseline presence.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a traditional serif texture and clear word shapes are desirable. It also performs strongly for headlines, section openers, and institutional or heritage branding that benefits from a formal, authoritative tone.

The overall tone is classic and composed, evoking traditional publishing and institutional typography. Flared terminals and crisp serif detailing add a sense of craft and authority without becoming ornamental, giving the font a quietly formal, literary voice.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif tradition by pairing readable, text-friendly proportions with flared, slightly engraved terminals. It aims for a dependable, literary texture that can move between text and display settings while retaining a crafted, dignified character.

Letterforms show consistent stroke modulation and a disciplined vertical stress, producing a steady text color in the sample paragraph. The caps present strong, iconic silhouettes (especially A, M, W) with wedge-like finishing that reinforces the engraved, old-style impression.
