A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic, diagonal-stress construction. Serifs are bracketing and often wedge-like, with crisp, tapered terminals and sharp joins that give the outlines a lively, chiseled feel. The uppercase is compact and sturdy with strong vertical stems, while the lowercase shows more movement through angled entries, curved shoulders, and a relatively moderate x-height. Counters are open and the rhythm is energetic, with noticeable variation in letter widths across the set.

Well suited to editorial typography—magazines, newspapers, essays, and book typography—especially for headlines, decks, pull quotes, and other emphasis where an italic voice is desired. It can also work in short-to-medium text blocks where a more assertive, classic serif texture is appropriate.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, reading as confident and serious with a touch of old-world elegance. Its strong contrast and forward slant add drama and momentum, suggesting formality and craft rather than neutrality.

The design appears intended to provide a strong, traditional italic serif with clear contrast and a crafted, calligraphic flavor—an option that reads as refined and authoritative while remaining legible in continuous reading and editorial settings.

Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with sculpted curves and sharp finishing strokes that feel aligned to text use rather than purely geometric display. The italic angle is consistent across letters and figures, and the detailing stays crisp even at larger sizes in the sample paragraph.
