A robust serif with strongly bracketed, triangular wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The shapes feel broad and generous in set, with large capitals and sturdy stems that create a dark, confident color on the page. Curves are rounded but firmly controlled, with relatively tight apertures in letters like C, G, S, and e, and a distinctive ball terminal on the lowercase f. The lowercase has a conventional text rhythm with a moderate x-height and compact counters, while the numerals appear oldstyle, with varied heights and a descending 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Well suited to editorial typography where a strong, traditional serif voice is desired, including magazine features, book typography, and pull quotes.
