A conventional serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin contrast that reads clearly at text and display sizes. Capitals are broad and steady, with relatively generous proportions and open counters (notably in C, G, O, and Q), while the lowercase maintains a familiar book-face rhythm with sturdy stems and clean, tapered terminals. Curves are smooth and controlled, joins are tidy, and spacing feels even, producing a composed, print-oriented texture across paragraphs and mixed-case settings. Numerals follow the same high-contrast, serifed construction and sit confidently alongside the letters.

Well-suited to editorial design, long-form reading, and print-forward typography where a familiar serif texture and strong contrast are desirable. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and formal titles that benefit from a classic, authoritative presence without feeling ornate.

The overall tone is traditional and serious, evoking editorial and literary typography rather than novelty or minimalism. Its high-contrast detailing and crisp serif cues convey a sense of authority and polish suited to established, formal communication.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif that balances readability with a refined, high-contrast silhouette. Its proportions and restrained detailing suggest a goal of producing a classic page color for editorial layouts while remaining strong enough for display use.

Diagonal strokes (such as in V, W, X, and Y) are sharply cut and neatly tapered, helping keep the face crisp even in heavier text. The ampersand is compact and classical in structure, matching the restrained, conventional voice of the rest of the set.
