This serif presents sharply tapered hairlines against robust main strokes, creating a crisp, high-contrast texture. Serifs are bracketed and slightly flared, with smooth, calligraphic transitions that read as firmly bookish rather than geometric. Capitals are broad and steady with confident diagonals (notably in V/W/X), while curves in C/G/O/Q show controlled modulation and clean terminals. Lowercase forms keep a moderate x-height with open counters and a two-storey a; descenders on g, p, q, and y are long and gently curved, adding a rhythmic, classical flow in text. Numerals follow the same contrast logic with clear, traditional proportions and strong vertical emphasis.

It fits editorial typography, book interiors, and magazine layouts where a classical serif voice is desired. The strong contrast also makes it effective for titles, pull quotes, and refined display applications such as invitations or formal announcements.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a polished, old-style elegance. Its contrast and sculpted serifs add a sense of ceremony and seriousness, while the rounded joins and soft bracketing prevent it from feeling brittle or overly modern.

The design appears intended to evoke conventional literary serifs with a clean, contemporary finish: traditional proportions, bracketed serifs, and confident contrast aimed at delivering an elegant reading texture and a formal, dependable typographic voice.

In continuous text, the type builds a pronounced light–dark cadence, making it feel well-suited to larger sizes where the fine hairlines and bracketing can be appreciated. The spacing reads comfortable and slightly generous, supporting a calm, measured rhythm.
