An upright blackletter with pronounced stroke contrast and a broken-stroke construction that mimics broad‑nib calligraphy. Forms are built from compact verticals and angled joins, with sharp wedge terminals and occasional hooked finishing strokes that add movement. Counters are relatively tight and letterforms lean toward narrow internal spaces, while capitals are more elaborate and heavier in presence than the lowercase. The lowercase shows a short x-height with tall ascenders/descenders and distinctly textured rhythm, producing a dark, patterned line of text at display sizes.

Best suited to short headlines, titles, and branding moments where a historic or ritual aesthetic is desired—such as posters, album or book covers, brewery/spirits packaging, certificates, and event collateral. It works especially well when set large, where the internal details and broken-stroke structure can be clearly resolved.

The overall tone is medieval and ceremonial, evoking manuscripts, heraldic lettering, and traditional Gothic signage. Its dense texture and sharp, ink-like modulation feel formal and dramatic rather than casual, with an assertive historic character that reads as authoritative and ornamental.

The design appears intended to recreate the visual language of blackletter calligraphy in a consistent, font-ready form, prioritizing period flavor, texture, and ornamental presence over neutral body-text readability. The stronger, more decorative capitals suggest use in titling and display typography where hierarchy and gravitas are important.

In the sample text, the word shape remains highly stylized with strong vertical emphasis, so readability improves with generous tracking and moderate line spacing. Numerals follow the same calligraphic logic, featuring pointed terminals and curved hooks that keep them consistent with the letterforms.
